Congratulations On Your Retirement, Andy! After nearly two decades of building and helping run Neuwave Systems, our original founder, Andy Felton has earned his well-deserved retirement at the beach! Here are some questions we asked Andy about his time here at Neuwave: 1. What prompted you to start Neuwave Systems nearly two decades ago? As a teen and throughout college I worked odd jobs like lawn maintenance, detailing cars, and delivering pizza. I liked the cash and the freedom that my work allowed. Once graduating from NC State I continued to work my business while trying to find a real job. I eventually found employment in the security and audio video industry working for a large distributor. It was there I fell in love with the business and knew I wanted to do something on my own and the rest is history. 2. What is your fondest memory from working at Neuwave Systems? Getting started in 2003 was fun! Me and my longtime friend and business partner, David Barham, would drive around and bang on doors. We developed many close friendships and lots of business that would help pave the way and get us off to a fast start. 3. What will you miss most about the job? I like to help people by solving their tech problems. This often requires thinking outside the box and using your creativity to come up with viable solutions. This was made easier by having the best tech team who could always make it work. 4. What are your plans for retirement? Initially, I plan to unwind and get reorganized. I will spend lots of time in the woods, at the beach, and hanging with family and friends. 5. What advice do you have for the current and future employees with Neuwave Systems?
